Gott Hotel is a 3* hotel in the historical center of Brasov. They offer some really nice accommodation with great decoration and fabulous views from the room's windows. Staff is friendly and service is excellent.
In the autumn of 2009 a new hotel was opening in the historical centre of Brasov. It was named Gott Hotel, after the street going in front of the main entry. We've then been approached by the company managing the hotel to develop a website that would reflect the comfy atmosphere and allow the tourists to check out the rooms and send reservations online.
We were also asked to find a photographer to take photos of the building indoors and outdoors, design some brochures, the menus for the minibar in each room, the one page advert that would run in a local guide and take away minicards with the hotel's info.
First thing was first. We needed the photos in order to start the job so we looked for a photographer to help us with this part of the project. After a few sessions we had more than enough photographs of the place so it was time to start development.
It took us quite some time to come up with the design for the website, but when we showed it to our customer they were so enthusiastic about it they could hardly wait to see the finished product. The completed website was up and running about two weeks later. It's based on our in house developed CMS using Ruby on Rails. It's simple, easy to use and works great for simple websites.
Because we also host and maintain the website our client was never bothered with the technical part of the project. The application just works for them allowing the team to concentrate on running the hotel and in the spring of 2010 they've opened a fully featured restaurant and pub to complement the great accommodation they offer.
